SUNDAY HOSPITALITY

Every Sunday (except Holidays) parish ministries and/or groups host Hospitality after all Sunday masses. This is a wonderful way to meet new parishioners and share fellowship with friends.

FESTIVAL

Our Lady of Mt. Carmel’s festival is an annual summer festival hosted by the Parish of the local community. It is our biggest fund raiser for the year. All work, food, set-up, break-down, etc. is done by parish volunteers. It is a wonderful way to gather with friends for the good of the parish.

THE PLAYERS

The Mt. Carmel Players is the only local Parish sponsored performing arts group in the area. Each year the produce a well-know musical. They have been in existence for over 37 years and are always looking for an extra hand or extra voice to join them.

SPAGHETTI DINNERS

Twice yearly the Mt. Carmel Society hosts a traditional family style spaghetti dinner. They are always looking for volunteers to help serve the large crowds that come to this very popular event. All proceeds are donated to the parish.

CARD PARTIES

The Altar & Rosary Society sponsors card parties for the women of the parish. This is a great way to enjoy your afternoon.

VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION DINNER

Each year in November, the parish staff takes time to thank the great number of volunteers who make our parish so vibrant and active. This is a fun evening of dinner and dancing that is well attended by our parish volunteers.

THANKSGIVING BRUNCH

This event is scheduled each year after Thanksgiving morning after 8:30 am mass. It is a buffet style brunch hosted by parishioners to promote community and thanksgiving for the many gifts God has bestowed on all of us.

ICE CREAM SOCIAL

In honor of the feast of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, each year after the final Sunday Mass, nearest the July feast day, the Mt. Carmel Society hosts this fun summer event with prayer, community and ice cream.

BOOSTERS

This group meets monthly to plan, and support mentally and financially our school sports program. They meet the first Monday of the Month at 9 pm

LEGION OF MARY

This group of dedicated women visit the homebound of our parish and also visit the local nursing home(s) to provide caring conversation and Eucharist for those who wish to receive.

SENIORS CHRISTMAS PARTY

This annual event, hosted by our eight graders, allows our Seniors time to relax and enjoy the holiday in a fun and communal way.

SUNDAY READINGS GROUP

This Group meets on Friday mornings, after 8:30am Mass to break- open and share the Readings for the Weekend Liturgies. No registration required.

This is one of the original women’s service groups in our parish. They meet the first Tuesday of the month for prayer and camaraderie.
